I'm not in a good mood.
Oh well, I should get over it. I'm brooding over the fact that...
Well, no, I shouldn't talk about it. Let's focus on happy (is it?) things instead.
On Sunday, my mentor-mentee group had a meeting to prepare greeting cards for the department and for our head of department, Dr. Hamidah. Initially, there should have been 5 of us. Yet another two didn't turn up, one cited as having to baby sit for her brother while another one said "I'm sorry, I have to sit for an exam tomorrow." excuse, a few minutes before the supposed meeting was due. I'm slightly (a lot, at the time) annoyed with this girl. We were going to sit for the same exam, despite not being in the same class. Both the meeting and the exam were scheduled waaaaaaaay early, and yet she gave that lame excuse on the day of the meeting. I felt that, the least that she could have done would be, to propose that we postpone the meeting to after the exam or something, I mean, I could have excused myself the way she did, but I didn't. Because I promised to come. Sheesh.
Anyway, despite anything, the three of us had a lot of fun in the process. Amir and I was crazily singing Raya songs that were blasting from Qina's laptop. There were just the three of us in the departmental floor. It was really nice being able to sing my heart out. A good stress reliever. We were there for about 3 hours, mainly because we had a hard time brainstroming for ideas. We made it, though, and it felt so great. I didn't have any photos of the finished product, but I can say that I'm proud of our mutual cooperation throughout the process. Thanks Qina and Amir! I heart you both for this.

Next, currently, I'm crazy about this drink. Corn-flavoured soy milk. Have anyone else tried it before? It's gooooood. Woohoo!! My sister bought me two one-litre packs and I can't wait to drink them :)
Another thing is, on Monday afternoon, we went to the Surgery department on the 8th floor of the hospital building for a lecture on Peptic Ulcer Disease. We've never been there before. I was awed by the really artsy backdrop found there at the entrance of the department. My camera did not do justice to the beauty of the backdrop, though.
Our lecturer, Dr. Imtizam, was really nice and sharp. I sat right in front of his nose and I was so happy listening to his lecture, because I understood every point he was making. And, most importantly, I didn't feel like sleeping AT ALL. He was giving his lecture way fast anyway, and I was busy jotting down notes and stuff. The only thing was, he kept feeling that he was using technical terms that we might not understand (which of course we do!) because supposedly, his lecture was designed for medical students. I can't help but to wonder, why is it that their mentality is to look down (perhaps) on nurses? What's wrong with us? We're definitely not unintelligent?
Oh, shoot, did I mention about our mid-semester exam? Well, it was in the morning.
Moving on, on the evening of the same day (monday), the whole class gathered in KFC to break our fast together as well as to celebrate a classmate's birthday. We had a lot of fun surprising her and it was a strange feeling to sing 'Happy birthday..' with the other customers in the restaurant looking on. Thank goodness Gervanne was a good sport and things went by smoothly. I suppose everyone was in a jubilant mood due to the fact that our mid-semester exam was over and we're about to go for our week-long break by the end of this week! Ohhh..!! (jumping jumping)
